Great experience with Alliston and Josh of Ray Browne Roofing! Ray Browne was recommended to me by a neighbour and a few friends who have used them for their homes previously and I've since recommended Ray Browne to 2 other neighbours since my roof was installed a couple weeks ago. I had a few roofing companies come to quote, but overall Ray Browne stood out. Alliston and Josh have been roofers for 25+ years and their experience and skill was obvious. Alliston carefully and patiently inspected and advised on all of my concerns including a leak I was having with my old roof, condensation issues, and other details.  He didn’t rush through our walkthrough of the roof top, inspection of the attic, including some condensation on a cold December day on the underside of the north facing section of the roof, or any answers to follow up questions I called about after receiving his quote. Alliston provided a very competitive and detailed quote, including a few upgrade options if I so desired.  He guided us on what we needed and didn't need.  To resolve the condensation issue, additional larger outlet vents at the ridge were installed to increase airflow in my attic.  My continuous strip, full perimeter soffit inlet venting was measured and deemed sufficient.  I agreed to a 3/8” plywood overlay to address the deficiencies of my original shiplap roof deck that caused a leak in my old roof, to ensure a solid installation of the new shingles. Alliston recommended Certainteed Landmark Moire Black and I opted for the high profile “Mountain Ridge” caps upgrade.  I also opted for an upgraded underlayment of Winterguard along the eaves and DiamondDeck for the rest of the roof surface.  These underlayment and installation options then qualified for Certainteed’s SureStart Plus 5-Star extended warranty which I additionally requested for my own peace of mind.  He understood my concerns and took care and the time to ensure they were all addressed. He and his 3 man team started first thing in the morning to efficiently remove and carefully and skillfully install a new shingle roof within 2 days, cleaning the job site as they went and ensuring it was clean and clear of debris at the end of the first day as well as at the end of the job on the 2nd day.  I had all the information beforehand and no surprises during the job. Nice and straightforward. Roofing a house is a significant expense and it was great to see the great care taken to ensure I was satisfied, and I am. Thank you, Alliston and Josh!

I found Ray Browne Roofing through our local community page where they were highly recommended.  I’m happy to say I can now recommend them myself.  When Alliston came by to give me a quote, I was pleasantly surprised when he told me that he and his crew could also replace our aging fascia boards. We just had our 24 year old roof replaced by Ray Browne Roofing and couldn't be more satisfied. Alliston, Josh and Karan were straightforward, honest and great to deal with. Ray Browne Roofing replaced our nearly 30 year old roof recently. This was a cedar to asphalt conversion. The quote was well detailed and everything was explained in detail. When it came to the installation, we were away on vacation but were provided regular updates with photos which was fantastic. The quality of work and cleanup was excellent.
